Lineage

The Rickson Gracie
Connection

Rickson Gracie, son of Grand Master Helio Gracie, is widely regarded as the greatest jiujitsu practitioner of all time. His philosophy transcends fighting — “Make yourself invincible. Being invincible doesn’t mean you can beat everyone, it means you cannot be beaten.”

Jason Cruz received his black belt directly from Rickson Gracie, carrying forward a lineage that traces from Mitsuyo Maeda through Carlos and Helio Gracie to Rickson himself.

At Bushido Mountain Dojo, we honor this lineage and the martial artists who came before us. It is because of them and their accomplishments that we practice martial arts to become better people on and off the mat.

The Garage

Machines of the Mountain

It’s quite often you will see a vintage automobile, resto mod, or off road machine parked in front of the dojo. The same patience that builds a martial artist keeps these on the road.

Rugged and built for any terrain — parked right next to the mat, where the dojo meets the garage.
